If you read Harper's magazine, you may have noticed recent ads featuring pictures of Philip Morris food items and the tagline: WHY ARE YOU BUYING YOUR FOOD FROM A TOBACCO COMPANY?

This "anti-ad" is sponsored by an outfit known as Adbusters. They maintain that Harper's and its publisher, Lewis Lapham, are "beholden" to the interests of Philip Morris Inc., because the company buys large amounts of advertising space. Lapham refuses to pull any of their cigarette ads, so the Adbusters people, morally outraged, have decided to run their own ads. You can read about their campaign here: http://www.adbusters.org/campaigns/harpers/. Adbusters doesn't intend to stop with Harper's. They won't be happy until cigarette advertising is eliminated from every magazine. Or book, for that matter...

We here at phaxda.com have decided to take on the other big tobacco company! See below--you can help...
